Winners! Beat FaT and Downing
After the draw was published we knew we were having a threeway with Downing and FaT, and not the good kind. We managed to borrow a delicious Filippi 4- from City and under the guidance of CBC's favourite Metaswitch employee, Esther (sorry Euan), had a bit of a bash about on the Cam. As soon as I worked out how to get us around corners it was moving nicely so we were optimistic going into the race.
After a few disagreements in the start order (Gripper forced the umpire to get the rules out), we were off and Matt cranked us up to a punchy rhythm. Good work as a crew got us around the corners nicely, and we pushed out onto the reach up on the other crews. The wind for the line got a bit scrappy and we were blowing a bit, but with a few optimistic "20 strokes to go" calls we finished it off. Good win boys!
